Mike Robinson, C.M. - President

Mike Robinson is a Canadian NGO leader, with 25 years experience

as executive director or CEO of the Arctic Institute of North America,

the Glenbow Museum, and the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art.​

 

 

 

 


Lyn Adamson - Vice President

Lyn Adamson is the former Executive Director of a large Powell River 

based non-for-profit organization, providing a variety of social and

employment related services. Having travelled widely, she believes 
that

Powell River is the best town anywhere, and is committed to supporting

the community.  

 

 

 


Lee Coulter - Treasurer

Lee’s love of music began early when, as a boy soprano, he joined his

school’s choir and has continued today as he now sings with several local

ensembles. For the past decade Lee has enjoyed serving on many

not-for-profit boards, mainly in the arts and culture sector, in Powell River.

 

 

 

 


Sean Dees - Secretary

Sean Dees has over 20 years of experience in managing small businesses.

He has been a Rotarian for 7 years with the Rotary Club of Powell River and

is currently serving as executive secretary/director of the club. Through

business and personal activities he has been actively involved in the community

for many years.

 

 
 

 


Michael Matthews - Director

Michael Matthews retired to Powell River after a career as a senior figure in

international education and school management. He was a school leader on

three continents, served on the Board of the International Baccalaureate, and

chaired the World Council of Heads of IB Schools.

 
 
 

 

 


Brooke Clansy - Director 

Brooke is studying music performance at the University of Victoria. She is excited

to be the librrarian for PRISMA and to be on the board as the first student member.

Brooke has been playing horn for 4 years now. She plans to graduate UVIC and

become a professional horn player and hopes to be accepted at PRISMA one year to

play horn in the PRISMA Festival Orchestra and study with the renowned guest artists.

 

 

 

 


Julia Levy, O.C. - Director

The author of many published scientific articles and a sought-after speaker,

Dr. Levy currently serves as a director on a number of early-stage biotechnology

company boards and on the board of the Working Opportunity Fund, a British

John Silver - Director 
John Silver is a classical music enthusiast who has presented many talks to live audiences

and on radio.  Prior to retiring, John was a dentist who taught full-time at the University
of British Columbia for 25 years. He has served on the Boards of a number of not-for-profit

organizations. 

 

 

 


Quentin Smith - Director

Quentin Smith is the President of Pacific Coastal Airlines.  He has served on the Board of 

Directors for the BC Aviation Council and as well as Chairman of BC Air Operators Group

and is currently on the Executive Board of the Air Transportation Association of Canada.

 

 

 

 


Arthur Arnold - Director

Arthur Arnold, Music Director of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, has a natural ability to

lead and motivate aspiring musicians. He is guest conductor at many well known European,

Asian and North American orchestras.

 

 

 

 


Scott Hean - Director

Coming to PRISMA with a wealth of experience in corporate finance and governance, 

Scott Hean has had leadership roles with Bank of Montreal, P. Morgan & Co of New York

City, Plastics Solutions Canada, and Quaterra Resources Ltd. He has served on numerous

corporate and 
non-profit boards, including as chair of the Bill Reid Gallery and BC Children’s

Hospital
, and is currently the chair of eCobalt Solutions (formerly Formation Metals Inc.)

and a founding member of Medicare for Autism Now. 

 

 

 


Christien Kaaij - Director
Christien Kaaij is a community developer and project manager, and the CEO of
Alof!i Consultancy. She loves classical music and is a big supporter of Arts
and Culture in the community.
 

 

 

 

 


Mélie Dechamplain - Director
Mélie De Champlain, a former cello player, is the Director for Vancouver Coastal Health,

Coastal Community of Care in Powell River.  She is currently serving on the Board of Directors

of Canada Caring, a non-profit organisation supporting refugees in Canada and overseas and

has a long term involvement with international humanitarian relief organisations where she

worked with different NGO’s including Médecins Sans Frontières.
